About the Author

25. You can probably assume (actually, you can guarantee) that I’m in bed. Most likely listening to Taylor Swift or trying to figure out what lyrics the 1975 are singing. Secretly prefers most Glee covers to the original. Little bit of a Long Island accent. Really chronically ill. Really hoping it doesn’t stay that way.

Gone through a little more in life than I probably should have at this point.

  1. I too suffer from chronic fatigue. I was diagnosed with late stage lyme about 5 years ago. That is a story within itself. Anyway I now have the diagnoses of ME/CFS. I am probably close to your mother’s age with children around your age. The words you write are the same way I feel . I’m thankful to find you blog. You are not alone. Don’t give up, tomorrow is a new day! One day a treatment will be found!

      1. I’ve been severely ill and 99% bedridden and entirely agoraphobic for about ten years now. I sympathize with your situation. If you don’t mind me asking, what illness do you have? If you would like a pen pal who has a similar situation, feel free to let me know. I am a forty-three year old man living in California. Take care.

  2. Hi!! Are you battling Lyme? If you are, I want to recommend something that’s helping me, & will heal me completely. Have you considered “Bee Venom Therapy”? It sounds crazy I know, but it works. You can call me or email me!!! It heals Lyme & all its co-infections. It takes grit, but I have my life back. I believe in I so much I keep bees now. I wish you complete healing.

    1. the last thing in the world someone with a chronic illness needs or wants is to be told you have to try “x” because it cured me. Instead, acknowledge their journey and send love

  3. To be slammed with an illness that steals money, time & joy in addition isn’t fair. Your writing describes the dark place folks visit, but you have to live there. The last few years have ripped a hole in the universe.

I hope you recover your health & your joy. Enjoyed your writing.
